In the eastern woods the malenkais are said to roam all the way from the mountaintops and to the eastern coast. No sensible farmer wanders into these woods unarmed and unknowing. Here the malenkais have their own developed culture. Only a fool will enter, and only the malenkais will leave this area alive. This is also the place where Miran, an unknown but very skilful malenkai-hunter lives between Miktara and the abandoned tower.

Miktara
North of this isolated area lies the territory of the peaceful malenkais. These are the malenkais of Miktara, they are ruled by the prince and heir to the throne Ralke, a young male who rules the territory in his own peaceful way. King Kaaras and Queen Mikta have withdrawn as rulers and they live quietly deeply inside the caves of miktara, which only the royal family know of. Miktara is a civilized malenkai society and directly opposite to Celka’s clan, the midnight clan, in the abandoned tower.

Despite it’s peaceful appearance Miktara is not free of the chaos which ever since the year 3450 have plagued Morania increasingly. Even though the unrest from the land of the free is dimmed by this beautiful area, it is not enough to bring peace in every malenkai’s soul. Rumours say that they have grown tired of their soft leader and prince, Ralke, who will face some hard times. Whether he will be capable of regaining the malenkai’s trust with the help of his princess Rosa and his life guard Silver remains to be seen. Otherwise the royal family will lose control of Miktara for the first time in the history of Morania...

Only few people outside of Karstaag know the real story of why Karstaag’s malenkais are split in two. Rumours say that some malenkais never lost their bloodlust, despite Avia’s blessing, and the Miktara malenkais were forced to expel their own corrupt brothers and sisters.

The storm's castle
To the east lies the storm's castle which once was a mighty castle where it is said that the gods lived when in this world. Why they chose Morania, noone knows, but it is said to have something to do with Morania’s location compared to the other continents of Néveri. The world division ruined huge parts of the castle, which either turned into ruins or fell into the world chasm. Now only a small part of the castle remains.

In the year 3454, in the winter time, something resembling new life came to this castle which has been hidden and abandoned for centuries. Noone knows the cause of this sudden activity, though some creatures in Morania may already have figured it out.

In the year 3455 in the early summer a violent earth quake shook Morania. It originated from the ruins of this castle. There is no doubt that something strange is now taking place here. Judging from the result of the earth quake, the strong light, the explostion and the ruined area around the castle which goes on for miles and miles, something deeply sinisted is looming here.

The abandoned tower
Celka’s territory is located in the southern parts of Karstaag. It is an abandoned castle, halfways in ruins, though most of the stairs, hallways and doors can still be used. On the right side of the castle the former tower has been destroyed and taken over by nature where a huge tree grows all the way to the top where the tree crown stretches like a roof over the castle. Here there are no rules, the strongest one wins. And the strongest one is Celka. Oppose him and Nisara will soon come to collect your lost soul.

Previously this territory belonged to Kasla, but by mistake he gave his powers to a human he thought he had killed. The human survived and was quickly come known as Celka. Kasla had killed Celka’s mate and because of thus Celka grew so strong that he defeated Kasla and took control of the abandoned tower. He allowed Kasla to serve him as his right hand and while Kasla observed how Celka took control of everything which had been his, Celka’s powers grew until noone nolonger dared oppose him.

This has obviously created a lot of jealousy between Kasla and Celka. Rumours say that Kasla, along with his servant Chelly, tries to reclaim his throne. But Adana, Celka’s new mate and next in command of the midnight clan keeps a keen eye on anyone who thinks of opposing her and Celka’s reign of power. Maybe that is why Kasla have not tried anything yet, or perhaps there is more to the story than the rumours are telling.

The abandoned tower is a corrupt malenkai society which can at times be similar to the drows’ lack of kindness and honesty towards each other. It is unthinkable that this group of malenkais once were a part of the huge and proud Miktara clan.
