My patience, and hence my money, are soon spent. I refer to the money, which until now has been the only reason why your "Dear Line" has been kept alive. Since you, as of yet, have not responded to my first letter, I am forced to present you with an ultimatum. If you have not procured and given me my money before midnight on the last day of this years celebrations in the town of Balon, I will stop sending money to the keeper of your wife, which means I will get rid of her. In that way her life will end, but my search for my money will not, and I will be forced to use harsher means. Since I know you have a large family, this will not be difficult...I will attend to the previously mentioned festivities myself, so that you may personally come and deliver my money to me. If you are not capable of this, I will accept a reliable stand in. That person has to come alone, however. If I see anything which would suggest otherwise, I will have your wife executed.

So, I will see you soon, and until then I will leave you alone, and then I look very much forward to seeing you or one of your relatives in Balon.
